So I am not going to lie – I seriously contemplated not posting a weigh in this week and then relentlessly beg you to have mercy on me. But then I decided to put my big girl pants on, step on the scale, and speak the truth.
Here are my stats…
SW: 177
GW: 125
LWW: 147.5
CW: 149.0
PL: +1.5
I am up 1 ½ pounds this week. Now I don’t want to go and blame everything on Mickey Mouse but…..I did go to Disney World last week for vacation. With all the walking it amazes me that I gained any weight because I am pretty sure we walked at least 5 or more miles a day. However, as we all know, it comes down to the food. No matter how much we exercise if we take in more calories than we burn then the weight will creep on. I feel like I did a good job eating healthy by making breakfast, packing our snacks, and choosing somewhat healthy dinners. The problem was I did not track any of my food so clearly I was grabbing bites here and there not paying attention to the calories I was eating. Also, I gave into the temptation of the monster Mickey Mouse cookies and rice crispy treats. I could not help it they called to me, told me I was beautiful, and they would love me forever if I bought and ate them – so I did. Well I can’t say that I regret it either – just being real! They were good and I was at Disney! However, I will admit that I felt extremely sluggish when I got back and could not wait to get to the grocery store to purchase some fresh clean ingredients! I am in my third day of being back in my routine and can already feel a huge difference.
Now I don’t want you to think eating healthy at Disney can’t be done because it most certainly can. It just comes down to preparedness and choices. I have a post going up tomorrow with more tips on this – I think you will enjoy it.
Okay enough with the excuses. On a positive note I think I am finally moving towards making exercise a habit. Before I left for Disney I worked out 4 times! And both yesterday and today I woke up at 5:00am to run. Each time I worked up a sweat and it felt AWESOME! While I was at Disney I did not actually “work out” but like I said we did do a lot of walking. Thank goodness for that because I can’t imagine what my weight would be if we didn’t.
There is my weigh in and thoughts for the week. It is great to be back. Okay your turn. How have you been? What are your stats this week?

I’m happy with any kind of weight loss this week. I have been working out, but we went out to eat a few times.
SW – 179.2
GW – 135
CW – 169.4
TL – 9.8 (1.4 lb this week)
I’m very happy with my progress since the 1st of the year. It’s slow going but I am ok with that. It didn’t show up overnight either! I am proud of myself for consistently counting calories and running 3 times per week. This has definitely become a lifestyle change, not just another abandoned resolution!!
So glad you had a good time at Disney! It is hard to eat well on vacation. Glad you’re back to a better way.
I am so excited the scale is finally headed in the opposite direction for me! I too have amped up the working out. I need to do even more, but I thought I would take baby steps. It’s so easy to gain the weight. I wish it were as easy to lose it!

No loss this week. We ate out too many times for our own good. Back on track this week. I’m going to try to make the mason jar salads I saw on your blog.
