I made this recipe back in the beginning of October. I had every intention of posting it then but I guess I forgot. It wasn’t until someone from the Skinny Mom’s Kitchen facebook community requested an applesauce recipe for the crockpot that I remembered I had it. Oops
This applesauce recipe, slightly adapted from the Slow Cooker Revolution Cookbook, is what I prepared the first time I used my new Hamilton Beach 6-quart slow cooker
. I figured I couldn’t go wrong with 4 ingredients.
Good thing I was right. Nothing beats homemade applesauce. It was delicious.
This slow cooker applesauce recipe froze and thawed perfectly making it very easy to portion out and have readily available for healthy snacks and baking.
I don’t think I will ever buy jarred applesauce again. Ok maybe I won’t completely write off the store bought stuff but I must say homemade is awesome!
