Weekly Family Friendly Kid Approved Healthy Menu Plan

Every Sunday I will post our menu plan for the following week. I try to create a set of recipe choices that are family friendly and kid approved. Because I like to try new recipes from different cuisines I am not always successful in pleasing my kid’s picky taste buds though sometimes I am pleasantly surprised. In the future I will list out the daily calories and other nutritional information for those that would like it. The Skinny Mom’s Kitchen menus are to serve as a guideline and inspiration for your meals. Use and change up what you like to meet your own family’s needs.

Enjoy!

  2. Your menu looks awesome this week. I would really like to see the calories and other nutrition info in your future posts. Here’s my menu for the week. All meals are less than 500 calories. I will try to include more nutrition info next week as well.

Monday: Shepherd’s Pie w/ ground lamb (Prevention), black eyed peas, salad

Tuesday: Indian chicken & vegetable stir-fry (EatingWell), brown rice, sauteed broccoli w/ sesame seeds

Wednesday: Bourbon Chicken, black beans, yellow rice

Thurs – Sun: leftovers or something easy as my husband will be out of town.
